T.Frivik Taubanedrift AS

T. Frivik Taubanedrift AS was established in 2004 and is now the market leader in Norway for timber extraction in steep terrain, and assembly and disassembly of pipelines in steep terrain.

We undertake all aspects of forestry, material handling and construction. Since 2010 we have been the Norwegian agent for a new Swiss avalanche control system – the Wyssen Avalanche Towers.

We have invested heavily in a machinery fleet which enables us to cover most types of assignments with our own machines. If special equipment is required, we have a wide international network that allows us to hire specialized equipment as needed.

The machinery consists mainly of Mounty cranes (our cranes are the only two Mounty 4000 -
cranes in Scandinavia), Wood Lines self-propelled trolley and an Igland Alpine winch, in addition to the normal range of tractors and timber trailers.

The competence of our staff ranges from forestry workers to mechanics. Our interdisciplinary employees ensure high reliability, and this allows us to undertake a wide range of projects.

With Wyssen Avalanche Towers in our portfolio, we can now also offer a unique method of securing roads, railways and ski resorts against snow avalanches.
